The Beginning

30 06 2012

Today is the beginning. The beginning of my blogging.  The beginning of my future.  The beginning of my musings.  I hope that at some point my thoughts will be of some use in the future.  For now they are just my thoughts and are not necessarily driven by any force toward a central point.  The main focus of my writings will be my thoughts and reactions to things as I perceive them.

These posts will most certainly be influenced by my experiences, passions, and beliefs.  While I understand that I have a limited view of the world and my perceptions are in no way infallible, I hope that as I write about the problems and successes that I see, that eventually I will be able to gain some new knowledge that I may share with others in the future.

In order to present myself and my posts in as translucent way as possible, I feel it is necessary to share some information about myself.  At the time of this post, I am in my early twenties, I have been married one year to my beautiful wife Aimee, and we do not have any children yet.  We live in Idaho where we are both attending Brigham Young University-Idaho.  I am a Communication major and Aimee is studying Graphic Design.  We will both graduate in a year.

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly known as “Mormons”).  This is important, as my membership and belief in the teachings of the LDS church have influenced my life in countless ways.  I served for two years as a full-time missionary in the Metro-Detroit area, and I imagine that there will be times when I will reference my “mission” in later posts, so this is an important point to understand.

Hello! Welcome to WordPress! I love seeing new bloggers here since it reminds me of the confusion and creative freedom with which I was overwhelmed upon starting my owl blog. I think blogs are just as intimidatingly versatile as they are great. You’re off to a great start and I look forward to your musings; your writing style is also nice, it flows and is mature. Keep it up~
